  Overseas Reflex Camera

The Overseas Reflex Cameras or Tropical camera version were manufactured by the Thornton-Pickard Manufacturing Company in circa 1910. Designed for tropical or other climates where extremes of heat and moisture could affect the accuracy of the camera. The Overseas tropical cameras are constructed of select Teak wood, thoroughly seasoned, brass bound and polished. Provided with three brass bound teak wood book-form slides. Two models were available, the Ruby De Luxe single extension or the Duplex double extension. Each fitted with a very wide variety of optional lens. There were available in multiple sizes including 3 1/2 x 2 1/2, quarter plate, 9 x 12 cm, 5 x 4 inches, 10 x 15 cm, half plate, and 7 x 5. A rare find.
