The Special Ruby Camera was manufactured by the Thornton-Pickard Manufacturing Company in circa 1910. Designed as an improved version of the Ruby camera and medium priced compared to the Royal Ruby camera. This model featured a Omniflex rising, falling, extending and swinging front similar to the Royal Ruby. An extra wide front and bellows are provided to prevent cutting off from short focus lenses and allowing the camera to be adapter for stereo work. Triple extension bellows with the camera body able to rack forward. It was also available in a brass bound version. half plate was priced at £6 10 0, brass bound at £7 15 0 and a stereo outfit at £8 10 0.
