  Safety Camera

The Safety Camera was produced by the Thornton-Pickard Manufacturing Company in circa 1910. Designed as a magazine hand camera for snap shot work that carries twelve plates in sheaths. It was made in eleven patterns, Series 1, 1A, and Model De Luxe. Made of well seasoned hard wood covered with black seal grain leatherette, and nickel finsihsed fittings. Front door is hinged for cleaning lens and finders and replacing lens. Hinged back door provides access to magazine chamber, with a supplemental door to remove exposed plates.

No. 1 model is a quarter plate size and fitted with a Thornton-Pickard Achroplanat single lens and an everset shutter with variable instantaneous exposures as well as timed. 21/-

No. 2 model fitted with a Thornton-Pickard Rectoplanat double rectilinear lens. 25/-

No. 3 model is a fitted with a Thornton-Pickard Achroplanat single lens and an everset shutter with variable instantaneous exposures as well as timed. Also provides rack and pinion focusing for objects nearer to the camera than infinity. 25/-

No. 4 model fitted with a Thornton-Pickard Rectoplanat double rectilinear lens. Also provides rack and pinion focusing for objects nearer to the camera than infinity. 30/-
