The Weenie hand Camera was manufactured by the Thornton-Pickard Manufacturing Company from approximately 1908 to 1916. Designed as an extremely compact pocket camera for use with plates. A cheaper version compared to the aluminum constructed Wafer. The body and baseboard were made from seasoned mahogany and covered in leatherette. Brass hardware and a red leather bellows were fitted on early versions before 1911. Later version had black bellows and nickel finished hardware. Features included focusing scale, infinity catch, rising and falling front, ground glass focusing screen, reversible finder and two tripod sockets. Four patterns or models were produced and all in quarter plate size.
Pattern A - Rapid Achroplanat single lens and T-P eclipse shutter with Iris diaphragm F8.
Pattern B - T-P Rectoplanat double lens and T-P eclipse shutter with Iris diaphragm F8.
Pattern C - Same as Pattern A but with a Double extension bellows with Rack and Pinion.
Pattern D - Same as Pattern B but with a Double extension bellows with Rack and Pinion.
