The Pecto No. 1A camera was manufactured by the Columbia Camera company of London England in Circa 1902. The Pecto 1A was a moderately priced hand or stand camera with built in shutter. This camera produced 4 x 5 inch or quarter plates sized exposures on plates. Constructed of Mahogany with red leather bellows. It features a ground glass focusing screen, shaded by an automatically opening hood. The lens is a single achromatic with a time and instantaneous shutter accompanied by a reversible and hooded view finder. Priced at 30/- for the camera and three DD slides.
