The Field Camera was manufactured by the E & T Underwood company in circa 1898. Designed as as a compact folding stand camera with a built in mount for a tripod and every modern movement and convenience. Constructed of seasoned mahogany and fitted with either a Meniscus lens or a rectilinear lens. Also sold with a patent roller blind shutter mounted behind the lens. Made in a quarter plate, half plate and full plate size. and priced at £5 10s and £7 2s respectively. Pricing ranged from £2 4s 6d to £6 6s 0d.
