  Pacta Camera by E. & T. Underwood

The Pacta hand camera was manufactured by the E & T Underwood company in circa 1899. Designed as a cheaper model chiefly intended for amateurs. Constructed of polished mahogany and with a good quality bellows. Features included a rack and pinion focus adjustment, a rapid rectilinear lens with irsi diaphragms, back gound glass for focusing. A polished ash tripod with revolving top was sold with the camera. The Pacta was originally priced at £1 13s complete.
