The Royal stand camera was manufactured by the E & T Underwood company in circa 1898. Designed similar to the instanto, except it was fitted with a roller blind shutter that was mounted inside the camera. The front lens board is removable to allow interchangeable lens. A hinged panel on the front allowed access to the shutter mounted on teh inner face. Constructed of fine Spanish mahogany and excellent workmanship.
