The Pocket Wizard was manufactured by the Manhattan Optical Co. in circa 1899. Designed for 4 1/4 by 3 1/4 photos. Constructed of a mahogany box, leather covered with a rapid rectillinear lens and automatic shutter with finger and pnematic release. The front was rising, faling and side swing with a brilliant finder for focusing. The camera had a compact design measuring 1 7/8 x 4 1/4 x 5 1/8 when closed and weighed 16 ounces. Two models were available. The No. 1 was provided with a double plate holder and the No. 2 had a diagonal precision rack and pinion attachment, extra plate holders and a leather case to hold the camera and three slides.
