The Globe Series B Folding Camera was manufactured by the Manhattan Optical company for retail by other photographic shops. Photo supply houses like Jas. H. Smith of Chicago and A.S. Aloe company of St. Louis would place their label on this camera and market it as their own. It was a designed as a first class high grade camera at low price, which folded compactly hiding all metal and mechanicisms including three plate holders. It was fitted with a rapid rectilinear lens and a Gundlach aluminum shutter with iris diaphragms, capable of providing exposure speed from one one-hundredth of a second to one twenty-fifth of a second. The shutter also had time and bulb movement. It featured swing back and a reversible finder. Rack and pinion was provided on the half plate version. It was made in three sizes, a 4 x 5 inch selling for $16.00, a 5 x 7 inch selling for $25.00 and a 6 1/2 x 8 1/2 inch selling for $35.00.
