  Excelsior No. 1 Hand Camera

The Excelsior No. 1 Hand Camera was sold by James Woolley, Sons & Company in circa 1898. The Excelsior No. 1 was designed to take Lantern sized plates 3 1/4 inch square, or for quarter plate size. Constructed of wood and covered in real leather. The camera was fitted with an achromatic lens and an adjustable instantaneous shutter for various speeds.
