  Excelsior No. 15 Hand Camera

The Excelsior No. 15 Hand Camera was sold by James Woolley, Sons & Company in circa 1904. The Excelsior No. 15 was designed as an inexpensive camera for capturing quarter plate exposures. The camera was fitted with an rectilinear lens with a metal cap for when not in use, and an everset time and instantaneous shutter with a catch for long exposures. The lens has magnifiers for taking photos at various distances. It has a magazine which carries twelve glass quarter plates mounted in sheaths. Two ground glass finders are provided for vertical or horizontal photos. The outfit included all accessories necessary for making negatives and prints. Originally priced at 16s/-
