The Bessa RF camera was manufactured by the Voigtlander & Sohn AG company in circa 1938. This camera combined the features of the regular folding Bessa camera with that of a built-in automatic coupled rangefinder for improved focus sharpness. It featured a convenient trigger release that disappears when the camera is closed. A hinged yellow filter is provided in an interchangeable mount. Two sized optical finders and half size mask for exposures either of size 3 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches, or 16 exposures 2 1/4 x 1 5/8 inches on roll of film. Available with a Voigtlander f3.5 Helomar Anastigmat lens in a Compur Rapid shutter capable of speed from 1 to 1/400th of a second. Option lens upgrades included a Skopar or Heliar lens.
