  Prominent Camera by Voigtlander

The Early model Prominent Camera was manufactured by Voigtlander & Sohns AG from 1933 to approximately 1935. Designed as a folding pocket camera capable of capturing 3 1/4 x 2 1/4 inch (6 x 9 cm) exposures on No. 120 roll film. Vest pocket sized exposures of 4.5 x 6 cm were also possible with the use of two spring steel mask which are store in the camera. The camera featured a self erecting front, an accurate distance meter coupled to the lens, and a built in exposure meter that was advertised as the first in the world. It was fitted with a Heliar Anastigmat F4.5 lens in a Compur shutter providing speeds upto 1/250th of a second. The camera measures 7 1/4 x 4 1/4 x 2 1/8 inches and weighs 29 ounces.
