The Perkeo E Camera was manufactured by Voigtlander & Sons AG in circa 1954. This was a similar design to the Perleo II except it featured a separate precision rangefinder built-into the camera top. The rangefinder accurately measures distances from 3 1/2 feet to infinity. By viewing the image in teh viewfinder, you simply adjust the two images to appear as one, thus setting the lens correctly. Like the previous Perkeo cameras the E model provided twelve 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inch big exposures. It was fitted with a Voigtlander Color Skopar f3.5 80mm lens mounted in a Prontor SVS shutter providing speeds from 1 to 1/300 of a second, plus bulb M-X synchronization. Features included an automatic double exposure prevention lock, dorect optical view finder, simplified near and far focusing zones, built-in self-timer, a accessory shoe and a depth of field scale. Priced in 1955 at $78.50.
