The Tourist camera was manufactured by Voigtlander & Sohn A.G from approximately 1913 to 1933. This camera was made in three sizes, a 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch (6.5x9cm), a 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 inch (9x12cm) and a 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch (10x15cm) postcard size. It was constructed of light weight aluminum alloy and covered with black morocco leather. The metal parts were balck enameled or nickel plated. The tourist featured a double rack and pinion movement for the black leather bellows, a U shaped front for better rigidity, Rising anf cross movement front, spirit levels are sunk into milled heads, revolving brilliant finders and a direc view vire finder with sighter at the back, an infinity catch and engraved depth of focus table. During this production run a few variations were made. Typically fitted with a Heliar or Collinear in a compur shutter.
