The Hawk-Eye Camera was originally manufactured by the Boston Camera Company from 1888 to 1890. Marketed as a detective and combination camera. The detective camera provided quick adjustment of speed and focus for instantaneous pictures of moving objects under various conditions. The Combination was made up of a view camera and a magazine camera. It was readily adaptable to tripod work for time exposures, with a rear focusing ground glass and a screw pinion adjusted internal bellows. No focusing cloth was required. The camera was adaptable to be loaded with roll film for $10 extra, making it capable of taking 100 exposures with out reloading. Similar to the Kodak.
