  Boston Reversible Back Camera

The Boston Reversible Back Camera was manufactured by the Boston Camera Company from approximately 1887 to 1890. Constructed of the finest mahogany wood, cherry base, black fabric bellows and polished and lacquered brass metal fittings. The camera featured a light and rigid design, front focusing via rack and pinion movement, superior swing back and of course a reversible back with ground glass. It was made in 5 x 7, a 5 x 8 and a 6 1/2 x 8 1/2 with interchangeable backs and an 8 x 10. Prices ranged from $28 to $34. All models came with a single swing, however the 5 x 8 and larger offered a double swing for an extra $2.00.
