  Coorespondent's Camera


The Coorespondent's Camera was manufactured by J.H. Dallmeyer, Ltd. from approximately 1904 to 1914. Constructed of Spanish mahogany with a specially built solid front providing rising, falling and swing motion. This camera was finished either leather covered, polished in natural color or ebonized. Both double and triple extension bellows models were available telephoto work. The lens was fitted to a detachable panel and held in place by swing clips. Features included a reversing and swing back with a hooded focusing screen. The screen was detachable and a magnifier was available to remove. The Dallmeyer Sigmatic Series II f6 or Series IV f6.3 were recommended. Available in 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 inch, 5 x 4 inch, 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch and a 6 1/2 x 4 3/4 inch sizes.
