Dallmeyer's Improved Naturalist Camera was manufactured beginning 1901. The main improvement was the replacement of the top mounted hooded viewer with a patented eye piece providing a much larger field of view than in the original model. It is fitted with a bellows body that can extend 20 inches, in place of the rigid one, allowing ordinary and telephoto lens to be used.
