  Dallmeyer's Popular Camera

The Popular Hand Camera was manufactured by J.H. Dallmeyer, Ltd. in circa 1900. It was made only in a quarter plate size, 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches. It featured a rack and pinion focusing and a simple magazine changing arrangement with a exposure recording device. It was fitted with a special Stigmatic lens working at f7.5 and a time and instantaneous shutter providing sppeds up to 1/9th of a second. The Popular Hand Camera was originally priced at £7 7s 0d.
