  No. 0 Syracuse camera

The No. 0 Syracuse camera was manufactured by the Wilkin-Welsh Camera company in circa 1901. The No. 0 was specially designed for the mail order and premium trade business. They were made up in large quantities, providing a durable instrument at a price within reach of all. It was capable of capturing 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch exposures on glass plates. No plate holder was required for this camera, as the plates were loaded directly into the camera similar to that used in magazine cameras. Originally priced at $1.00 for camera and instructions.
