The No. 1 Syracuse camera was manufactured by the Wilkin-Welsh Camera company in circa 1901. The No. 1 was described as a perfect working and practical camera making sharp, clear pictures, 2 1/1 x 2 1/2 inch square. A strong and compact camera covered with black grain morocco with a capacity to hold three double plate holders and view finder. The lens was a universal fixed focus and the shutter was specially designed for this camera. It was self-setting and can be readily changed to either time or instantaneous. Originally priced at $2.00 for camera.
