The No. 2 Syracuse camera was manufactured by the Wilkin-Welsh Camera company in circa 1901. The No. 2 was described as a perfect working camera making sharp, clear pictures, 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch square. A neat and compact camera that will carry three double plate holders with a capacity of six dry plates. Constructed of the finest white wood, tongue jointed, making it strong and impossible to leak light. It was covered with fine black grain morocco and all metal parts are highly finished, making it the most attractive camera on the market this season. It was fitted with a brilliant view finder. The lens was the latest type of universal fixed focus meniscus of great depth of focus and for sharp definition which are guaranteed to take sharp clear pictures from a distance of six to one hundred feet. Perfect for portraits, groups and general snap shots. Originally priced at $3.00 for camera, including one double plate holder and a 32 page book on photography.
