The No. 6 Onondaga camera was manufactured by the Wilkin-Welsh Camera company in circa 1901. The No. 6 was described as being practical, durable instruments, built with care by experienced workmen. The camera was constructed of polished mahogany. The bed was either covered in seal-grain covering or was polished mahogany. The outside was covered in black seal-grain covering. The metal work was nickel plated and highly polished. The front has rising and falling movement for regulating the amount of sky and foreground. The back is reversible and is fitted with spring actuated ground glass frame, which resides to allow the plate holder to be inserted. It is fitted with a superior achro-meniscus lens and the latest self-timing automatic shutter, which has time, bulb and instantaneous exposures, with bulb and finger release. The brilliant view finder is also reversible for convenience when taking snap shots. Originally priced at $10.00 for the camera and one plate holder. The camera fitted with an optional rectilinear lens cost $12.50.
