  Perfex Speed Candid Camera

The Perfex Speed Candid Camera was introduced at the start of the new Candid Camera Corporation of America company in 1938 and was continued until only 1939. Designed as an affordable 35mm. Construced of plastic (bakelite) with a metal plate on the front for mounting the Anastigmat f3.5 lens with two inch focus. This was the first 35mm camera to feature a Focal planes shutter, providing six speed settings from 1/25 to 1/500th of a second, in additional bulb setting. It had a built-in exposure meter to provide the correct exposure time for any condition of light and a built-in rangefinder. The 38mm lens mount allowed for interchangeable lenses, with three lens offered. Priced at $25.00.
