The Artist Tropical Reflex Camera was manufactured by London Stereoscopic & Photographic Co. LTd. in circa 1910. It was offered as a high class reflecting camera that possesses every necessary movement. An all around camera capable of portraiture, architectural, landscape, telephoto and general work. Made of polished Teak-wood and brass bound for use in tropical countries. Fitted with the finest Russian leather bellows and focusing hood. The Tropical Artist reflex featured a full sized finder to accurately compose the picture, a focal plane shutter capable of speeds from 1/10th to 1/1000 of a second including time exposures, rack and pinion focusing, a reversible back with a hooded focusing screen for use as a stand camera, spirit levels and two tripod sockets. Typically found with a Goerz Series II 6 inch focus lens.
