  Artist Reflex Camera by London Stereoscopic Co.

The Artist Reflex Camera was manufactured by London Stereoscopic & Photographic Co. LTd. in circa 1898. It was offered as a high class reflecting camera that possesses every necessary movement. An all around camera capable of portraiture, architectural, landscape, telephoto and general work. It was Intended to replace the twin lens model camera. Constructed of wood and covered in black leather. Fitted with a Russian leather bellows and focusing hood. The Artist reflex featured rack and pinion focusing, a full sized finder to accurately compose the picture, a focal plane shutter capable of speeds from 1/10th to 1/1000 of a second including time exposures, a reversible back with a hooded focusing screen for use as a stand camera, spirit levels and two tripod sockets. Able to be fitted with various 6 inch focus lens, however the trade catalog recommended a Goerz Series III lens.
