  Imperial Pocket Camera

The Imperial Pocket Cameras were manufactured by the Thornton-Pickard Manufacturing Co. in circa 1911. This Folding camera line was made of a wood box with a metal base and standard. The front bellows was manually extended to catch at an infinity focus setting. Four models were available. The No. 1 sold for 30 shillings and featured a brilliant reversible finder, a single achromatic lens and a everset shutter with time, bulb and three instantaneous speeds. The No. 1 measured 5 3/4 x 4 1/2 x 1 3/4 inches. The No. 2 was similar to the No. 1 except that it was fitted with a Rapid Rectilinear lens and a rack and pinion focusing. The price with case was £2 2s. An optional Aldis Anastigmat lens was also available. The No. 3 is similar to No. 2 except that is has a double extension, allowing 10 inches fromt eh lens diaphragm to the plate. Priced at £2 17s 6d. The No. 4 was similar to the No.3 with the double extension bellows, except it was fitted with the Aldis Anastigmat f7.7 lens and made with the highest finish at a price of £4 12s 6d.
