The Monroe Royal Camera was manufactured by the Monroe camera co. of Rochester NY in circa 1898. The Royal was a hand or tripod camera that was capable of capturing exposures 4 x 5 inch in size on glass plates. There is little information on this model due to a short production run, of possibly only one year. It was originally priced at $10.00.
