  Binocular Camera

The Binocular Hand camera was introduced by the London Stereoscopic company in circa 1897. Originally designed as a box sterescopic camera and quickly evolved to a tapered model. There were two models available, a No. 1 and No. 2. The No. 1 took 7 x 5 inch sized exposures on plates or films. An automatic changing cartridge was capable of holding either twelve plates or thirty cut films. The camera weighed only 19 ounces. The No. 2 was able t take 18 plates that were 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch in size. The No. 1 and No.2 was fitted with a Rapid rectilinear lens or can be upgraded with an optional Zeiss lens.
