The Twin Lens Carlton hand or stand camera was manufactured by the London Stereoscopic & Company Ltd in circa 1898. It was advertised with seventeen good reasons for buying. It featured a full size finder with ability to focus on any distance. fitted with a Euryscope f5.6 lens with an iris diaphragm. A time and instantaneous safety shutter with pneumatic control. Capable of holding twelve plates that is automatically changes when you press a small trigger. Exposed plates are counted and can be exposed plates can be developed without disturbing the unused. The Twin Lens Carlton camera was made in three sizes, a quarter plate 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches, priced at £12 12s; a 5 x 4 inch size priced at £15 15s; and a 6 1/2 x 4 3/4 inch size priced at £21 0s.
