  Focal Plane Regent Camera

The Focal Plane "Regent" Camera was sold through the London Stereoscopic & Photographic Company Ltd. in circa 1902. A folding bed camera capable of capturing 4 x 5 inch exposures on daylight loading films or plates, including the premo film pack. It was constructed of Mahogany wood and fitted with an improved focal plane shutter, giving speeds from 1/10th to 1/1000th of a second. The camera was also fitted with a unicum shutter giving speeds from 1 second to 1/100th of a second, including time exposures. The front lens was a Planastigmat f6.8 with iris diaphragms. Other features included a rising, falling and cross front, focusing screen, infinity catch, and a reversible brilliant finder.
