The Regent Hand Camera was sold through London Stereoscopic & Photographic Company Ltd. in circa 1900. Described in advertising as a "good camera at a reasonable price" for taking quarter plate sized images, 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches. It featured an automatic plate changing that held twelve plates or films and automatically recorded the count of exposed plates. It was fitted with a Rapid Rectilinear lens of excellent quality with iris diaphragms and an instantaneous and time shutter with controllable speeds. It also provided two brilliant finders for vertical or horizontal pictures, the camera was covered in Black leather. It measures 4 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 8 3/4 inches and weighs only three pounds. Priced at £5 5s.
