The London Stereographic & Photographic Co. Ltd sold the "Special", Wide Angle and Long Extension Camera in circa 1900. It was designed to meet the requirements of the most advanced amateurs for field or home use. Constructed of the best and most seasoned wood available. The bellows were made of morocco leather lined with cloth. Features included a risng and falling front, double extesnion bellows, rack and pinion adjustment, double swing back, reversible frame for vertical or horizontal pictures. Recommended with a Black Band Rapid Rectilinear lens with iris diaphragm, so separately. The camera was made in various sizes including, 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches or quarter plate, 5 x 4 inches, 6 1/2 x 4 3/4 inches (half plate), 7 1/2 x 5 inches, 8 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches (whole plate), 10 x 8 inches, 12 x 10 inches, 15 x 12 inches. Prices ranged from £7 7s to £21.
