The Tropical Box Camera was sold through the London Stereoscopic Co. in circa 1904. Designed for use in the tropics. Made with specially selected mahogany with cross tongued construction, covered in hard-grained morocco leather, or polished if desired with brass bound reinforcement. Fitted with Cooke f6.5 lens with a 5 inch focus with an iris diaphragm. A metal shutter providing time and instantaneous speeds from on to 1/100th of a second. It featured a rising and falling front with focus adjustment, an simple and certain plate changing with an automatic indicator of the number of plates used, a tripod bushing and two built-in brilliant finder with metal plate protectors.
