The Spartus 35 F, Model 400 Camera was manufactured by the Spartus Camera Company, of Chicago Illinois and later by the Herold Manufacturing Company from approximately 1945 to 1954. Constructed of bake-lite with chrome plated metal parts. Designed as an inexpensive 35mm camera for daylight loading 35mm color or black and white film cartridges. It featured a synchronized flash, a coated Achromat 50mm, f7.7 lens with three aperature lens openings (f7.7, f11, and f16), and a yellow filter setting. It was fitted with a simple one speed or "Unispeed" shutter and automatic exposure counter. Priced at $12.50 and $3.50 for the carrying case.
