The BOBOX camera was manufactured by the Coronet Camera Co. of the UK, in partnership with Tiranty Company located in Paris, France, due to import restrictions imposed by the French government after WWII. It was also labeled as a Coronet De Luxe. The camera was designed as an inexpensive box camera for taking eight 6 x 9 cm exposures or sixteen 4 1/2 x 6 cm sized exposures on number 120 roll film. It featured a Tiranty meniscope lens and instantaneous shutter. Constructed of wood and covered in black leatherette with a metal decorative faceplate.
