  Coronet Cameo Camera

The Cameo camera was manufactured by the Coronet Camera Company in circa 1948. A sub-miniature camera made of black bakelite with a metal alloy fittings and face plate. It was a modern version of the midge. It featured a pull-up eye-level direct view finder, a meniscus f/11 lens and a simple instantaneous shutter with an approximate speed of 1/25 of a second. The Cameo captured 13x18mm exposures on special sized roll film. The camera measures 2 x 1 x 1 1/4 inches in size. The Cameo camera originally sold for 17s 10 d.
