  Coronet Midget Camera

The Coronet Midget Camera was manufactured by the Coronet Camera Company in circa 1935. The camera was constructed of bakelite with a built-in eye-level optical viewfinder and made in a wide variety of colors including, red, green, blue, brown, and black. It was fitted with a fine Taylor-Hobson meniscus f10 lens with a focal length of 29mm, and an instantaneous shutter providing a single speed of 1/30 of a second, with a safety catch to prevent accidental exposures. This miniature detective type camera, described as the "Tom Thumb of Cameras", was capable of capturing six 13 x 18 mm exposures on 16mm roll film. The camera measured 2 1/2 x 1 x 13/16 inches and weighed 1 3/4 ounces. Priced at $2.95 or 5s 6d.
