The Xcel box camera was manufactured by the Coronet Camera Co. of Birmingham, England in circa 1935. Designed as an inexpensive box camera for taking sixteen 6 x 9 cm exposures on number 120 roll film. The camera was made of cardboard and fitted with a fixed focus Coronet meniscus lens and a simple single-speed rotary instantaneous shutter . It featured two eye-level view finders for horizontal or vertical photographs.
