  Agiflex Camera

The Agiflex camera was manufactured by Agilux Ltd of Croydon, England from approximately 1946 to 1958. Described a a camera embodying the most complete and technically perfect system of photography. A well made camera based on the handlheld ARL aerial camera of WWII. It was capable oc capturing 6 x 6 sized exposures on roll film. It featured a full size direct view finder, a hinged magnifier, synchronized flash, shutter speeds of 2 to 1/500th of a second, threaded mount for filters, lens hoods and interchangeable lenses, automatic counter window, and film transport coupled to the shutter wind. There were three version made. Model I was fitted with an f3.5 with no slow speeds and a smaller bayonet. Model II of circa 1949 was fitted with an F3.5 lens but with a larger bayonet that would accept all lenses, and the third model of circa 1954 was restyled and featured a f2.8 lens.
