The Sept camera was manufactured by Andre Debrie in Paris, France from approximately 1922 to 1927. It was originally introduced in the late 1910s as the Autocinephot by F.A.I.T, an Italian company. This unique 35mm camera was capable of taking still photos, a series of shots, or movies. The camera was constructed of metal and embossed with the Sept name one it. A few versions were made over the course of its production, with the first version exhibiting a square front for housing a single spring motor and is depicted on this page, the second version has a rounded front for housing a double spring motor. It was originally priced high at $225 but the price quickly reduced.
