  Flash Master Camera by Monarch

The Flash Master camera was manufactured by the Monarch manufacturing company in circa 1939. Designed for the all American hobby of candid camera shooting under any lighting condition. The built-in photo flash with a 4 1/8 inch diameter plated reflector, was electronically operated and used the new Mazada Photo flash lamps made by General Electric. The camera was constructed of plastic bakelite with a built-in optical view finder. It was fitted with a genuine Graf meniscus lens and flash synchronized time and instantaneous shutter. Sold as an in inexpensive compact candid camera for capturing sixteen exposures on no. 127 or A8 film. The originally list price was $4.50 which included the flash reflector and one GE bulb. An optional Graf f7.7 lens model was available for $5.50.
