The Monarck camera was marketed by the Monarck Camera co. and produced in the 1940s. It is theorized that this camera line was most likely named after the Monarch manufacturing company, but it has not been verified. This mini-cam camera was made from plastic bakelite, with a built-in view finder and a metal faceplate indicating the camera name in bold lettering. There were a few versions made with different exterior surface designs. The camera was capable of capturing full or half frames on no. 828 roll film.
