The Ultra-Vex camera was manufactured in Chicago Illinois, in circa 1940. It is presumed to be made by the Monarch manufacturing company since it is the same camera as the Kondo Reflex, and the Remington Flex-Master, however it is not certain that this camera was distributed by the Monarch Co. It was a simple psuedo reflex camera constructed of black bakelite with a decorative chromium metal lens plate. It was fitted with a fixed focus Graf achromat 50mm lens with three stops (f7.7, f11, f16), and an instantaneous & time shutter. It took sixteen half frame exposures (3 x 4 cm) on number 127 roll film.
