  Rouch's New Patent Portable Camera


The New Patent Portable Camera was manufactured by W.W. Rouch & Co. of London England in circa 1884. I was advertised as being the lightest and most convenient for landscape purposes. This field camera was made of seasoned mahogany with brass hardware fittings. It was sold with a Ross view and group lens. It was made in quarter plate 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches, 5 x 4 inch, 7 1/2 x 5 inch and an 8 1/2 x 6 1/2 whole plate. Prices ranged from £11 5s 0d to £21 10s 0d.
