The Agfaflex IV was manufactured by the Agfa company in Munich German from approximately 1919 to 1963. This 35mm reflex camera was constructed with a metal body and covered in leather for the hand grip. The Agfaflex IV featured an interchangeable pentaprism, a built -in light meter for correct exposure, a lens-coupled range finder for sharp focus, synchronized for all flash units, automatic diaphragm snapped to a preset lens opening when shutter is snapped. The shutter had nine speeds from 1 to 1/300 of a second, plus time. It was fitted with a fast color Solinar f2.8 50mm four element lens. It was priced approximately $159.00
