The Optima camera was manufactured by the Agfa company from 1959 to 1960. This 35mm camera was discribed in advertisements as being responsible for ushering in a new ear in photography by providing a fully automatic camera. The original model featured a 'Magic Button" exposure setting lever on the left hand side, while the second model featured an automatic exposure control. Fitted with a color Apotar S f3.9 lens in a special compur B shutter providing speeds from 1/30 to 1/250th of a second. Priced at approximately $98.50.
