The Silette camera was first introduced by the Agfa Camera-Werk company of Munich Germany in 1953 and the second version style 2 from 1958 to 1962. This second style is distinguishable by two view finder windows found in the center of the top cover. Designed as a small quick and easy to use camera. This camera was sold with various lens - shutter combinations including a featured an Agfa Color-Apotar, Color-Agnar, and Color-Solinar and shutter options were a Vario shutter providing with speeds from 1/25 to 1/200 of a second, a synchronized Pronto with speeds from 1/30 to 1/250 of a second, Prontor-SVS with speeds from 1 to 1/300 of a second. Features mentioned include a rapid lever wind coupled with film transport, shutter loading, double exposure prevention and film counter.
